THE 10TH AFRICAN NUTRITION CONFERENCE (ANC X 2026)
The African Nutrition Society (ANS), in collaboration with the Nutritionists Association of Namibia (NAN), is pleased to announce the 10th African Nutrition Conference (ANC X 2026), scheduled to take place in Windhoek, Namibia from 30 November – 04 December 2026.
Theme:
“Ending all forms of Hunger and Malnutrition in Africa: From Evidence to Impact”
ANC 2026 will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, development partners, academics, students, and nutrition professionals from across Africa and beyond to discuss innovative solutions and evidence-based approaches for improving nutrition and health outcomes on the continent.
The conference will provide a platform for:
- Knowledge sharing and policy dialogue
- Research dissemination and networking
- Capacity building for students and early-career professionals
- Collaboration across nutrition, health, agriculture, and development sectors

- Evolution in Nutrition Governance and Accountability
- Food Systems, Resilience and Healthy Diets
- Triple Burden of Malnutrition
- Indigenous Foods, Culture and Sustainable Diets
- Capacity Building and Nutrition Workforce Development
- Research-generated Evidence, Data Systems, and Nutrition Surveillance
- Food Safety and One Health

- Abstract submission opens: 1 July 2026,
- Abstract submission closes: 22 September 2026, 11:59 PM GMT
- Abstract acceptance/rejection notifications sent: 30 September 2026
- Abstract programming assignments sent 15th October 2026
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Namibia’s rich culture and world-class tourism destinations while engaging with leading African and global nutrition experts.
